Spicy veg sauce – Recipe

This has been adapted from Jamie Oliver’s spicy veg recipe that goes with his Green Tea Salmon. It’s amazingly spicy, with a hint of sweet. It a great way to spice up boring veg. I especially love it on tender stem broccoli, green beans and asparagus. I usually make a huge batch of it and freeze in individual portions for ease.

This makes enough for 4 people with a couple of portions left.

Ingredients

1 red chilli – deseeded

1 large bunch of coriander

2 thumb sized pieces of ginger – chopped

2 tbsp miso paste

Juice of 1/2 lemon

6 tbsp light soy sauce

4 tbsp runny honey

Method

Slice and deseed the chilli. Chop the coriander, leaves and stalk. Chop the ginger. This is for ease in the food processor.

Put all ingredients into the food processor and blitz for around a minute until all ingredients are finely chopped.

That’s it you’re done. Pour a little over cooked veg, or freeze in individual portions for a later date.
