Nourished Vitamin Review

(GIFTED) Back in December I met Nourished at the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC. Their stall intrigued me and I headed over to have a chat with the staff to see what it was all about.

About Nourished

A Birmingham based company, Nourished created a daily supplement packed full of vitamins and nutrients. 3D printed into a convenient tasty gummy stack, you can opt for one of their ‘off the shelf’ subscriptions, or a fully bespoke, made to order subscription designed specifically for you. There is a questionnaire on their website that will determine the vitamins and nutrients you need, based on your lifestyle, health conditions, the diet you follow, what your health priorities are, and much more. This then creates a bespoke supplement for you.

All of the ingredients are sourced from high-grade vegan whole food sources and lab-tested to ensure that every Nourishment is custom, quality and made to order.

Nourished believe that every person is unique and this is why a ‘one size fits all’ supplement is incorrect. Each person needs different vitamins and this is why they developed the 14 question quiz, to find out exactly what you need.

You can also skip the quiz and pick out 7 ingredients yourself (if you know what your body needs) and they will create this for you.

Every Nourished product is vegan, sugar-free, plastic-free and made in the UK

Life Stacks

Life stacks is the name given to the ‘off the shelf’ range of supplements. There are 8 of these to choose from depending on what you feel you need. From ‘the pre-natal stack’ for pregnant women to the ‘party proofed stack’ designed to boost your immunity and improve the bodies ability to process alcohol. Each of the stacks has different vitamins depending on your lifestyle.

My Experience

The packaging is 100% plastic free and the individual wrappers are made form a unique pulp wood that composts in 32 weeks! It is presented beautifully in a cardboard box and on the inner lid it tells you more about the health benefits of ours chosen stack.

I decided to opt for the ‘inner beauty stack’. I chose this as I am now well into my 30s and don’t take the best care of myself if I am honest. I leave my makeup on overnight when I am drunk, I don’t moisturise anywhere near as much as I should and my nails ALWAYS break. Described as ‘a mix of seven anti-inflammatory and antioxidant active ingredients into this cleansing blend to help slow the pace of ageing, protect skin and fortify hair. It’s time to glow from the inside!’ this was the one most suited to my needs.

This blend contains:

CoQ10

K2 Vital Delta

Vitamin E

Resveratrol

Powerful Antiaging Antioxidant

Silica

Careflow Mango Powder

Selenium

Why did I choose this stack?

There are so many reasons I opted to try this. I have been having stomach issues for years and doctors think I have IBS (as yet undiagnosed) and the Silica is supposed to aid with stomach and digestive disorders. It also helps to strengthen bones, joints and teeth. Vitamin E is great for your hair, and with a naturally frizzy curly mop, I will take any help I can get to control and strengthen my hair.

K2 Vital Delta helps to prevent heart disease and also helps with dental health. I currently have a brace on my bottom teeth and also have receding gums so want to protect my teeth as best I can. Selenium has been shows in some studies to slow premature aging of skin cells – always a bonus.

I received my months supply mid December and there way no way I was starting then. With Christmas and New Year I knew the whole of December would be filled with rich food, too much alcohol and not enough sleep. This month is an anomaly for me. Usually I need 12 hours sleep a night to function, don’t drink an excessive amount of alcohol and and eat pretty sensibly throughout the year. So I held off until 1st January as I felt I would get a more realistic understanding of how these would work for me.

How did the trial affect me?

Over the course of the last 30 days, I have noticed a few things that I think I can attribute to the Nourished stack.

My hair feels better. I have been plagued with frizzy curls that at times can be really unmanageable. Over the last month my curls have sat better, feel healthier and I have noticed less breakage.

My nails seem stronger. I haven’t had as many breakages over the last month and they seem to be growing quicker than usual (although that may be my imagination!)

The skin on my face has transformed. I have been having a hell of a time for years with makeup. I put it on in the morning and by mid afternoon all my foundation has disappeared. I have not changed my makeup over the last month, but my skin feels and looks less greasy and my makeup genuinely stays on my face for longer.

I haven’t noticed a change in my digestive system unfortunately but then again I don’t expect miracles. I haven’t had an issue with high blood pressure and a visit to the doctors this week showed my blood pressure to continue to be perfect. I have no way of knowing whether this has helped my joints, bones or teeth either.

Overall Verdict

I enjoyed taking the supplement each day. They look and taste like the most colourful fruit pastels! I do feel that I have seen some benefits taking it, and I think if I took it for longer those benefits would increase. I think that at £39.99 for a months supply it is expensive, but the work that goes into creating these isn’t cheap so I understand that this comes at a price to the consumer. You can use code FEB2020 for £20 off your first box. I would take these again if budget allowed and I think that any kind of supplement is going to help your body. I also think that this reduced the number of supplements you need to take and for that it is value for money. You get 7 supplements in one, also cutting down on plastic packaging.

I was gifted a months supply for review. My review is an honest representation of what the changes I saw in my body over the last 4 weeks.
